ok so i have this question that i really don't get the answer. in the movie kung fu hustle with stephen chow their were two harpins that were the killers, and that they play the quin (sorry if i wrote it wrong) that chinese instrument my question to this is why did those two chinese harpins had long nails? i mean they are both men, and it looks kind of wierd, is it because they want it to show everybody that they don't work or that they are rich? or is it because they needed to have long nails to play that type of instrument, i don't get it. please somebody tell me, and please no rude comments.Kung fu hustle movie, harpins with long nails? why?
there may not be a functional answer, but rather aesthetics. perhaps it was just part of the lifestyle, kinda like how some 80s and 90s rockers had long pinky nails to snort cocaine with. they dont actually use those nails for their job or their instrument, but just for drugs
or maybe you're just looking too deep into it
